This big-headed T-Rex stands upright on two chunky legs and waves hello with one raised arm. Its mouth is open in a wide grin with rows of little teeth, and the round eyes have sparkly highlights. Curved stripes run along the back and tail, and the belly is a smooth, roomy shape that little hands can fill in easily. A simple sun with straight rays shines in the upper right corner, and two fluffy bushes and a few grass tufts frame the bottom of the page. Bold, clean outlines make it a nice free printable for preschoolers and early elementary kids who are practicing staying inside the lines. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the dinosaur's body, head, waving arm, tail and both legs with leaf green, leaving the eyes, teeth and claws for later.
- 2Color the sun disk and all its rays with golden yellow.
- 3Color the inside of the open mouth coral pink, keeping the teeth white.
- 4Color the back spikes along the dinosaur's back and tail with tangerine orange.
- 5Fill the bush on the right with dark green, and leave the left bush and the small grass tufts white.
- 6Fill the toe claws on both feet with pale cream and keep the eye shines white. Optional: add a few darker green strokes on the belly and tail for depth.
