Tall Tree Snack for a Long-Neck Dinosaur

Coloring guide
A happy long-necked dinosaur reaches its neck way up to nibble a leaf off a branch of a big tree. It has a smiling face, round eyes, and rounded spots down its neck, back and tail, and it stands on four sturdy legs on a grassy hill. Two palm trees, rounded bushes and a pair of fluffy clouds sit behind it. In front, small grass tufts and a leafy plant tuck in beside the tree trunk. The big open shapes on the neck and body are easy for little hands, and the leaves and bark give older kids a bit more to do. Soft green or blue with bright orange spots would look nice on the dinosaur, with warm browns on the trunk. Print the free PDF at home, and maybe run off a few extra copies. This fits right in with our Dinosaurs coloring pages — see also Owl and Ladybug.

- lime green
- pale blue
- sea green

- butter yellow
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the dinosaur's long body, neck, head and legs with sky blue, leaving the spots for later.
- 2Color the belly butter yellow and the toenails and claws light gray, keeping the eye whites and tooth highlights white.
- 3Add deep blue spots along the neck, back and tail, pressing a little harder for a richer shade.
- 4Color the clouds pale blue, and the tree trunk and palm trunks warm brown.
- 5Fill the leaves and bushes with grass green, use lime green for the tree top and tail tip, and sea green for the bush on the right.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of deep blue along the belly edges and under the neck to give the dinosaur some depth.
