Ice Skater Girl Drawn in Six Small Steps

Coloring guide
Six small drawings show how to build a girl ice skater one step at a time. The first box starts with a round face with eyes, a nose and a smiling mouth, plus a simple neck and body shape. Next come a cap of hair and a wavy skirt. Then the bun on top of her head, the outstretched arms and a straight standing leg appear, with the other leg kicked out behind her. The later steps add little mittened hands and ice skate blades on both feet. The last box shows the finished skater colored in with yellow hair, a blue hairband, a light blue top and a deep blue skirt. Print it out and let kids copy each step on blank paper, then color their own skater using the final picture as a guide. It also works well for talking about drawing in order, from basic shapes to small details.
