Waving Skeleton From Ovals and Rectangle Bones

Coloring guide
Six small drawings show how to build a cartoon skeleton, starting with two simple ovals for the head and jaw. The next steps add a rib cage oval, a flat oval for the pelvis, and plain rectangles that become arm and leg bones. After that, the skull gets round eyes, a smiling mouth, and a small triangle nose. The bones get rounded ends, the ribs are drawn as curved lines, and small ovals appear at the feet. In the last two steps, one hand is raised in a wave with separate finger bones, the other arm hangs down, and the final picture has a gray skull, pelvis, and bone shading. Kids can follow along in order, drawing one step at a time. Then print the page and try coloring the final skeleton in pale gray, with a bright color for the background so the bones stand out. It works well for a Halloween art lesson or a body bones unit.
