Love Letter Bursting From an Open Envelope

Coloring guide
An open envelope rests at the bottom of the page, and a folded letter slides out of the top. Above it float four hearts in different sizes: the biggest in the center, two medium ones on each side of it, and two small ones tucked into the lower corners. Little curved lines around the hearts make it look like they're bursting out of the envelope. Big, simple shapes and bold outlines help younger kids who are still learning to stay inside the lines. The large blank letter is also a spot for a child to write a message or a name. Pinks, reds and purples work for the hearts, and a soft blue or yellow envelope will make them stand out. Free to print for Valentine's Day, a card for a friend, or a quiet craft afternoon. Looking for more? Our Adult Coloring and Color by Number (Adult) coloring pages pair nicely with this Love page.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the large envelope flaps, including the front bottom flap, the left and right side flaps, and the back flap at the top, with sky blue.
- 2Color the dark inside pockets at the top corners of the envelope with royal blue to show depth.
- 3Color the two letter papers peeking out of the envelope with cream, leaving the paper edges clean.
- 4Fill all five hearts, the big top heart, the two medium hearts and the two small side hearts, with coral red.
- 5Optional: Add light diagonal strokes in the same colors to give the envelope and hearts a hand-drawn texture.
- 6Leave the background and the small motion lines around the hearts white, so the colors stand out.
