Piano-Playing Cat on a Round Stool

Coloring guide
On a round wooden stool, a smiling kitten rests its front paws on the keys of an upright piano and glances back over its shoulder, eyes sparkling and mouth open happily. Four music notes drift above its head, as if you could hear the tune. A small vase on top of the piano holds a bouquet of round-petaled flowers and leaves. The kitten's tail curls up behind it, and the stool has a ring of crossbars between its legs. Small hands can handle the big open areas on the kitten and piano, while flower petals and piano keys give older kids finer detail. Soft orange or gray fur, bright yellow and pink flowers, and a deep brown piano make a nice mix. Print or download it free, and keep a few spare copies handy. Looking for more? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the cat's body, head and tail with orange, and use light orange for the cheeks and paws.
- 2Fill the piano, its legs and the wooden keyboard area with medium brown, and use dark brown for the front panel.
- 3Color the round stool seat and its legs with royal blue for the top and medium brown for the legs, leaving the spaces between the legs white.
- 4Add the vase in sky blue with a white stripe, then color the flowers with violet purple, baby pink, rose pink, golden yellow, and teal, and the leaves in leaf green.
- 5Color the music notes in sky blue and periwinkle blue, and fill the cream piano keys with cream while keeping the white keys bright.
- 6Optional: Add a little extra shading on the cat's body and the stool with a slightly darker shade of the same color for depth.
