Butterfly-Chasing Cat Leaping Through a Flower Meadow

Coloring guide
Bounding through a field of blooming flowers, this striped kitten stretches one front paw high to swipe at three butterflies fluttering over its head. It has a big open smile, wide sparkly eyes, long whiskers and a curled tail, with tabby stripes along its back, legs and tail. Tulips, daisy-style flowers and tall blades of grass surround it, and rolling hills and three puffy clouds sit in the background. Large shapes and smaller petal details mean beginners with chunky crayons and older kids with fine markers can both have a good time. Try warm orange with darker orange stripes on the kitten, then purple and blue butterflies so they stand out against the sky. Print this free page and add it to your growing stack. Kids who like Cats coloring pages usually enjoy Farm Animals and Tiger too.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the fluffy clouds in the sky blue, and the cat's body and raised paw in amber.
- 2Fill the grassy hills, the meadow grass and the tulip stems with grass green, leaving the flower petals for later.
- 3Paint the tulips red and the bushes forest green, then color the cat's tail with deep orange and its tail tip cream.
- 4Color the butterflies' top wings violet and their other wing parts baby pink, and add baby pink inside the cat's ears and on its paw pads.
- 5Fill the daisy centers with bright yellow, and leave the daisy petals, the cat's eye whites and the flower highlights white.
- 6Optional: Add a few extra strokes of deep orange on the cat's body and a touch of butter yellow on the cheek for a softer, sunnier look.
