Round Baby Whale with a Flower Spout on the Waves

Coloring guide
This little whale is all curves. It has one big sparkling eye and a happy smile, and it bobs at the surface with a flower-shaped spout growing from the top of its head. The tail flips up on the left, and a small flipper rests along the belly, which has a few simple curved lines. Three wavy lines across the bottom stand in for the sea. Everything is large and bold with lots of open room, which makes this free printable a nice fit for preschoolers and early elementary kids working on pencil control. Soft sky blue looks good on the body, with paler blue or white on the belly. Turquoise and navy work for the waves, and the spout is a fine place for some glitter. Add this to your Whale coloring page collection, alongside Dolphin and Shark.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- sky blue
- pale blue
- light aqua
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the whole round whale body with sky blue, going around the eye and leaving the eye highlight white.
- 2Fill the belly area and the stripe sections under the mouth with pale blue, keeping the thin lines between them visible.
- 3Color the two small water droplets beside the spout with light aqua.
- 4Leave the eye highlight, the spout and the background white, and keep the waves uncolored.
- 5Optional: add a few darker blue strokes along the lower edge of the body to give it a little depth.
