Ruffled Doily Heart Reading HEART & LOVE

A large heart sits in the middle of the page with a wavy, scalloped border running around the outside, a bit like a ruffled paper doily or a lacy valentine card. Inside the smooth inner heart, the words HEART & LOVE are written in playful, rounded letters with little swirls inside some of the characters. The lower part of the heart is left completely empty, which gives plenty of room to add your own drawing, a name, or a short message. Kids can color the ruffled edge in a different shade from the center so it looks like layered paper. This printable page also works well for a classroom card activity, where children color the letters first and then write a note to someone they care about in the blank space.
