Pear Fruit with Bent Stem and Wavy Leaf on Left

Coloring guide
A single large pear fills most of this page, drawn with a thick, smooth outline and a rounded bottom that narrows toward the top. A short, bent stem curls out of the neck of the fruit, and one wavy-edged leaf hangs down on the left side with a center vein and several thin veins branching off it. A handful of small oval dots are scattered across the pear's surface, which look like the tiny speckles you see on real pears. The big open shape inside the fruit gives younger kids plenty of room to color without worrying about staying in the lines. Try shading the pear from yellow-green at the top to a deeper green or golden tone at the bottom, then use a darker green for the leaf. It also works well for a quick lesson on fruit colors or for talking about how pears differ from apples. Print as many copies as you need.
