Easter Bunny Giving a Big Carrot Hug in the Garden

Coloring guide
Standing up on its hind legs, this happy bunny hugs a carrot nearly as big as it is. It has a wide smile and big sparkling eyes, and the long ears are outlined on the inside. The carrot's leafy top curls up next to the bunny's head. Round cabbage heads sit on both sides of the garden bed behind it, and little carrot sprouts peek out of the soil in the bottom corners. Bold, clean lines and roomy open areas make it friendly for younger kids still working on staying inside the lines, while the cabbages and leaves give older kids small spots to shade. Orange works well for the carrot, with soft gray or lavender on the bunny and a few different greens for the leaves and cabbages. It's a free printable that fits spring and Easter nicely. This fits right in with our Easter coloring pages — see also Disney Easter and Fall.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

- 2Fill the bunny's head, body, arm, feet and ears with warm brown, then add the cream tail and front paw in soft cream.
- 3Color the carrot top leaves and the plants in the garden with grass green and forest green, adding a bit of dark green on the darker leaves.
- 4Fill the cabbages with lime green, then color the grass patches at the front and sides with grass green and forest green.
- 5Add bubblegum pink to the inside of the ears, the nose and tongue, and leave the eye whites and teeth white for a happy sparkle.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker brown along the edges of the bunny and a touch of extra orange on the carrot for depth.
