Girl With a Heart Balloon Spreading Love in the Park

Coloring guide
On a grassy hill, a cheerful little girl in a headband and shoulder-length hair holds the string of a big heart-shaped balloon. She's wearing a short-sleeved shirt, a flared skirt, ankle socks and sneakers, and her happy open-mouth smile gives the page a warm feel. A large leafy tree stands behind her on the left, rounded bushes line the hilltop, and fluffy clouds drift through the sky among several small floating hearts. A few grass tufts dot the ground by her feet. The big balloon and roomy skirt are easy to color, so younger kids with chunky crayons should do well here. Bright red or pink would suit the balloon, with soft greens for the tree and bushes. A free printable for Valentine's Day, a friendship activity or a quiet afternoon at the table. This fits right in with our Love coloring pages — see also Adult Coloring and Color by Number (Adult).

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big tree leaves and the bushes with grass green, and the darker bushes and lower tree areas with forest green.
- 2Fill the face, arms, neck, ears and legs with light peach, leaving the background and any small white shine spots untouched.
- 3Color the dress, shirt and hairband with hot pink, then fill the hair and tree trunk with warm brown.
- 4Color the two clouds with sky blue, and the balloon knot and small hearts with bright red or rose red.
- 5Color the open mouth with coral pink and the left shoe with lavender purple, keeping the laces and soles white.
- 6Optional: add a slightly darker warm brown along the hair edges and under the tree for a little depth.
