Big Mountain Peak with Snowy Cap and Leafy Bushes

Coloring guide
One tall mountain takes up the middle of the page, topped with a wavy cap of snow that drips down from the peak. In the upper right a round sun sends out short rays, and two puffy clouds sit beside the peak, a big one on the left and a smaller one on the right. Down at the base, a curved patch of ground holds two leafy bushes and a few small rocks. The wide mountain slope is great for broad crayon strokes from little kids, while the snow cap, rays and bushes are smaller spots for careful coloring. Icy light blue works nicely for the snow, with warm gray or purple on the mountain and sunny yellow for the sun. Free to print, and a good match for preschoolers and early elementary kids practicing how to stay inside the lines. This fits right in with our Mountain coloring pages — see also City and Solar System & Space.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- earth brown
- sky blue
- leaf green
- golden yellow
- stone gray
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the mountain body with earth brown, using quick diagonal strokes for a textured look.
- 2Color the two bushes on the left and right sides of the mountain base with leaf green.
- 3Fill the four rocks at the bottom of the mountain with stone gray, leaving the thin ground line as it is.
- 4Color the sun disc with golden yellow and both clouds with sky blue.
- 5Leave the snowy cap at the top of the mountain white so it stands out against the brown.
- 6Optional: add a little darker gray on one side of each rock to give them some depth.
