Strawberry Heart Cake Made With Love

Coloring guide
A tall two-tier cake sits on a round plate with a big open heart standing up from the center of the top layer. Whipped cream swirls and four plump strawberries with tiny seed dots decorate the top, and three more strawberries rest on cream swirls around the middle ring. Wavy icing drips down both tiers, and each layer has hearts and little round dots. A twisted rope-style border runs along the bottom of the cake and the plate. Five small hearts float in the empty space around it all. Large shapes and clear outlines are easy for young kids, while the dots and seeds keep older kids busy. Bright red strawberries, soft pink icing and hearts, and pale yellow cake layers would be a pretty combo. A sweet free printable for Valentine's Day, birthdays or anything baking-related. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the cake tiers and the body of the cake with baby pink, leaving the frosting bands for later.
- 2Color the frosting bands, the piped cream swirls and the twisted cream rope with cream, keeping the swirl highlights on top white.
- 3Color the big heart on top, the strawberries, and the medium hearts on the cake with strawberry red, then fill the small floating hearts with raspberry red.
- 4Color the strawberry leaves with leaf green and fill the cake base edge and the little dots on the tiers with hot pink.
- 5Optional: add a soft shade of darker pink along the lower edges of the tiers and the base for a bit of depth.
