Three Squirrels Gathering Acorns in the Forest

Three bushy-tailed squirrels play in a leafy woodland in this detailed scene. One clings to the side of a big tree trunk with a happy smile. Another sits on a leafy branch holding an acorn in its paws, and the third crouches on the forest floor, picking acorns from a small pile. Falling leaves drift around them, a winding path leads back through tall trees and pine trees, and ferny plants and spotted mushrooms fill the lower corners. Big squirrels plus smaller background details make this a good match for kids who like patient, detailed coloring. Warm reddish-browns work for the fur, golden tan for the acorns, and bright reds and oranges for the mushroom caps. Print it at home for a screen-free activity.
