Waving Boy in a Gondola Over the Mountains

Coloring guide
A smiling boy in a hooded jacket waves out the window of a gondola cable car, which hangs from a cable high above the trees. He looks thrilled to be along for the ride. Several jagged, snow-capped peaks fill the sky behind the cabin. Down below, a winding stream or path curves through rolling hills with round bushes and tall evergreens. The large cabin windows and wide mountain shapes leave small hands lots of room, and the pine needles and rocky ridges give older kids something to chew on. A red or yellow gondola would stand out well against cool blue and gray mountains and deep green evergreens. Print or download it free, whatever your age or coloring skill. Looking for more? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the mountains and the sky-blue areas in sky blue, leaving the snowy peaks white.
- 2Fill the gondola body and roof with coral red and deep red, and color the cable pole and cable in light gray and charcoal gray.
- 3Color the windows pale blue, the boy's hair chestnut brown, his face and hand peach, and his jacket and shirt in bright blue and slate blue.
- 4Fill the hills, the stream and the bushes with light green and sage green, then color the trees in dark green and forest green.
- 5Optional: add a few darker strokes on the trees and the shadowed sides of the gondola to give it depth.
