Fox Strolling Through Fallen Autumn Leaves

Coloring guide
Walking straight toward you along a leafy forest floor, this young fox has big round eyes, tall pointed ears and a cheerful smile. The fluffy tail curves out behind, and the chest fur is drawn in soft, jagged tufts that are nice to shade. Tall tree trunks frame the scene, and more trees fade off into the distance. Leaves drift down through the air, while fallen leaves, a small acorn and two spotted mushrooms fill the bottom corners. Orange and rusty red work well on the fox, with a cream or white chest and tail tip, and yellows, browns and greens can go on the leaves. Big open areas keep it easy for beginners, and the smaller leaf details give careful colorers plenty to do. It's a free printable page. Looking for more? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big fox areas: fill the face, neck, chest and the tail tip with cream, leaving the eyes white.
- 2Color the fox's body, tail, back and legs orange, keeping the ears and paws in the same warm tones.
- 3Fill the sky opening at the top with sky blue, and leave the tree trunks in chestnut brown and dark brown.
- 4Color the leafy background with leaf green, bright green, lime green and deep forest green, mixing the shades as you go.
- 5Add the mushrooms: bright red caps with cream stems and light brown ground patches under the fallen leaves.
- 6Optional: Finish the fallen leaves with golden yellow and amber yellow accents, and add a few darker lines of leaf green for depth.
