Sleepy Fox Curled Up in the Flowers

Coloring guide
Here's a peaceful one: a little fox fast asleep, rolled into a round ball with its fluffy tail wrapped around its body and its nose tucked in. The closed eyes are drawn as gentle curves, and the pointed ears have fur tufts inside. Where the white tail tip meets the rest of the fur there's a zigzag line that gives young colorers something fun to tackle. Three simple five-petal flowers with round centers and leaves sit around the fox, along with a few small tufts of grass. Thick, clean outlines and large shapes suit preschoolers and early elementary kids, and it makes an easy quiet-time activity. Bright orange fur with a white tail tip and cheeks stands out nicely, and pink or yellow flowers over green grass finish the scene. Free to print. Kids who like Fox coloring pages usually enjoy Wolves and Lion too.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- tangerine orange
- warm cream
- blush pink
- bubblegum pink
- leaf green
- lavender purple
- sky blue
- golden yellow
- amber brown
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start by filling the fox's head, front tail, and back body with tangerine orange, leaving the cream areas empty.
- 2Fill the cheeks and the big cream tail section with warm cream, and color the little paw in amber brown.
- 3Color the inside of both ears blush pink, then paint the top right flower sky blue and the bottom left flower lavender purple.
- 4Fill the bottom right flower with bubblegum pink and add golden yellow centers to all three flowers, leaving the thin stem highlights white.
- 5Color the leaves and grass tufts leaf green, keeping the small highlights on the stems white.
- 6Optional: add a few lighter or darker strokes of the same color on the fox's body to give it a soft, fluffy look.
