Snowy Day Fox Beside a Pine Tree

Coloring guide
Sitting upright in the snow with its head slightly tilted, this cheerful young fox has big round eyes, a tiny nose and a sweet smile. The large pointed ears are fluffy inside, and a chest ruff and a big curled tail with a jagged tip wrap around its side. A snow-covered evergreen stands behind it, with small snow mounds dotting the ground. Snowflakes and round snowballs fall across the sky for a quiet winter feel. Large shapes and clean lines work well with crayons or markers for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Orange fur with a white chest and tail tip looks good, and soft blues and greens can go on the tree and the sparkly snowflakes. Print it free for a cozy winter afternoon or a classroom activity. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the fox's head, body, legs, belly and the outer parts of its ears with fox orange, leaving the chest bib and the eye whites unpainted.
- 2Color the chest bib and the tail with cream, and fill the inside of both ears with soft pink.
- 3Paint the pine tree branches forest green, and color the tree trunk and both paws chocolate brown.
- 4Color the snow mounds in the bottom corners pale blue, and leave the snow on the tree tops, the middle snow mound and the background white.
- 5Optional: add a few darker orange strokes along the fox's legs and tail edges to suggest fur depth.
