Little Fox Watching a Butterfly in the Meadow

Coloring guide
A young fox stands on all four paws in the grass, head tipped up with a smile, watching a butterfly flutter just over its nose. It has big pointed ears, a fluffy chest ruff and a bushy tail with zigzag markings at the tip. Tall grass tufts and three daisy-style flowers with round centers sit around its feet, two at the lower right and one at the lower left. The butterfly has curly antennae and wings patterned with circles and ovals that are fun to fill in. Thick, clean lines keep it friendly for preschoolers and early elementary kids, and the PDF is free to print. Warm orange suits the fox, with white and cream on the chest and tail tip. Purple or pink wings will pop against the green meadow. If you enjoyed this Fox page, don't miss our Wolves and Lion coloring pages.

- 2Color the fox's tail tip cream and the lower part of the right leg and paw chocolate brown.
- 3Add soft pink inside both fox ears and leave the white paw highlight and eye shine uncolored.
- 4Color the butterfly's upper and lower wings with lemon yellow and golden yellow, its wing edges with amber orange, and its body and head with chocolate brown.
- 5Color the grass and leaves with leaf green and sage green, fill the flower centers with pale yellow and lemon yellow, and leave the flower petals white.
- 6Optional: add a little darker orange along the fox's belly and under the tail for a bit of shading.
