Happy Apple Peeking from a Woven Fruit Basket

Coloring guide
Peeking out of a woven basket is a cheerful apple with big round eyes and a little smile. It has a curved stem and a large leaf with detailed veins. Next to it you'll see a plump bunch of round grapes with a leafy vine, and a long banana stands upright behind them. The basket has a twisted rope-style rim and a chunky woven pattern of rectangles, so there are big and small spaces to color. Two leaves rest in the bottom left corner, and a few simple horizontal lines hint at a table or shelf behind. This free printable suits preschoolers and early elementary kids. Red or green works well for the apple, purple for the grapes, and warm tan and brown for the basket so the fruit pops. - 2Fill the banana with lemon yellow, leaving a thin lighter stripe along its curve.
- 3Color the three leaves leaf green, including the veins if you like.
- 4Fill the grape bunch grape purple, leaving the stem and the background white.
- 5Color the basket medium brown, then use golden orange for the twisted rim and light tan for some of the woven bands.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading on the lower basket and the apple's side to give a bit of depth.
