Ice Skating Yeti Twirling on a Frozen Pond

Coloring guide
Arms stretched wide and one leg kicked up behind him, this fluffy yeti glides over the ice in what looks like a happy skating twirl. He has two little horns, big round eyes, a round nose, and a wide open smile. Lace-up ice skates with bows at the ankles cover both feet. Swooping curved lines across the pond show where he's already skated. Around the edges you'll see snow-covered pines, snowy mounds, and clusters of cattails in the corners. All that shaggy fur leaves lots of room for crayon texture. Icy blue or soft lavender fur and bright red laces will make the skates stand out. - pale blue
- forest green
- sky blue
- cattail brown
- warm beige
- coral pink
- silver gray
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the pond water: color the wide strips of ice on the left and right behind the yeti, and the thin edge near the left skate, using pale blue.
- 2Fill the evergreen bushes on both sides of the scene with forest green, and add a light touch of green to the shadow on the left tree.
- 3Color the yeti's horns warm beige, then fill the mittens, the nose, and the skate blades with sky blue, leaving the yeti's fur, eyes and teeth white.
- 4Fill the open smile with coral pink, and color the cattails along both sides of the ice with cattail brown.
- 5Optional: Add a soft gray shadow on the lower skate blades and the cattail stems to make the scene feel more frozen and three-dimensional.
