Penguin Chick Holding Hands With a Yeti

Coloring guide
A big, shaggy yeti smiles warmly while holding hands with a small, round penguin chick. The yeti has tousled fur on its head, big round eyes, a round nose and large furry feet. The penguin only reaches about up to the yeti's waist, with a tuft of feathers on its head, an open happy beak and a big oval belly. A few soft mounds of snow run along the ground, and the rest of the page is plain white, so little ones can focus on the two friends. Bold outlines and simple shapes make it a good free printable for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Light blue or soft lavender fur on the yeti would look nice next to a classic black penguin with a bright orange beak, so the two stand apart. A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- warm brown
- peach beige
- sky blue
- golden yellow
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the yeti's shaggy body, head, nose and fluffy fur in warm brown, using light back-and-forth strokes to show the texture.
- 2Fill the yeti's hands, wrists, feet and inner ears with peach beige so they stand out from the brown fur.
- 3Color the penguin's flippers, arm and the outer sides of its body in sky blue, leaving its round face and belly white.
- 4Add the penguin's beak and webbed feet in golden yellow.
- 5Leave the snow hills, the gap between the yeti's legs and the eye whites white, then add dark pupils to finish the eyes.
- 6Optional: add a few darker brown strokes on the yeti's fur and a little extra blue on the penguin's sides for depth.
