Sleepy Yeti Tucked In Inside a Cave
Coloring guide
Fast asleep on a pillow, this fluffy yeti is curled up with a striped blanket pulled over one shoulder and a peaceful smile. The eyes are closed, and the shaggy fur is drawn in tufts around the head, arms and body, so little hands get lots of texture to color. The whole cozy scene sits in a rocky cave, with pointed icicles hanging from the ceiling and a few rocks on the ground. It makes a calm, quiet-time page for preschoolers and early elementary kids, and you can print it free as a PDF. Soft blues and lavender work well for the fur. For the blanket, pick a bright, happy pattern so it stands out against the cool cave walls. This page is part of our Yeti coloring pages collection — check out Mermaid and Pirate too.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- deep navy blue
- sky blue
- royal blue
- light blue
- pale ice blue
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the dark cave opening behind the icicles with deep navy blue, and leave the icicles unfilled for now.
- 2Color the wavy blanket with sky blue and royal blue in alternating bands, and fill the cave walls and rocks with sky blue.
- 3Color the pillow with royal blue, and fill the rocky edges on the left and right with sky blue.
- 4Color the yeti's face, muzzle, and ears with light blue, and fill the icicles and the lower rocks with pale ice blue and light blue.
- 5Keep the yeti's fur, paws, and the small eye highlights white so the fluffy coat stands out against the blue.
- 6Optional: add a little extra royal blue along the blanket folds and under the yeti's chin to add depth.
