Kite-Flying Yeti on a Mountain Hilltop

Coloring guide
On a snowy hilltop, a smiling, shaggy yeti holds up the string of a diamond-shaped kite and gazes at it with big, happy eyes. The kite has a long tail dotted with several bows and flowing ribbons. Snow-capped mountains and pine trees fill the background, and puffy clouds drift across the sky. His fuzzy fur, wide grin with a couple of little teeth, and round feet give you lots of texture to color. Pale icy blues and soft lavender suit the fur, and red, yellow, and orange on the kite and ribbons will make it stand out against the sky. Grab the free PDF and print it at home, no sign-up needed. This fits right in with our Yeti coloring pages — see also Mermaid and Pirate.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big yeti fur: color the body, belly, arms and legs in warm brown, leaving the snowy highlight near the shoulder white.
- 2Fill the raised hand, the lower hand, both feet and the ground-level edges in peach beige.
- 3Color the clouds in light sky blue, and the mountains and sky behind the yeti in sky blue, keeping the snowcaps on the peaks white.
- 4Color the pine trees in forest green and the kite panels in sky blue and leaf green, so the kite looks bright against the sky.
- 5Color the open mouth dark maroon and keep the teeth and eye whites white so the face sparkles.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of warm brown along the fur edges for a bit of depth.
