Round Little Bird on a Leafy Tree Branch

Coloring guide
This plump little bird stands on a branch with sparkly eyes and a tiny open beak, glancing off to the side like something just caught its attention. It has a small tuft of feathers on top of its head and one rounded wing resting against its body. On the left, its tail fans out in soft, wide feathers. Both feet grip the branch, and big leaves sit at the lower left and right with lots of open space for coloring. Thick outlines and simple shapes make it easy for preschoolers and early elementary kids working on pencil control. A sunny yellow body with a bright orange beak looks great, with rainbow tail feathers and spring green leaves. If you enjoyed this Tree page, don't miss our Star and Forest coloring pages.
A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.
- sky blue
- leaf green
- tangerine orange
- warm brown
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start by filling the bird's round body and the wing area with sky blue, leaving the background white.
- 2Color the long tail feathers on the left with sky blue, one feather at a time.
- 3Fill the two leaves with leaf green, then color the branch with warm brown.
- 4Use tangerine orange for the beak, the two thin legs, the feet, and the toes gripping the branch.
- 5Leave the big eye whites and the small background space between the legs white so the bird looks bright and cheerful.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker blue along the bottom of the body and wing for a bit of depth.
