Round Watermelon and a Single Wedge in Front

A large round watermelon fills most of the page, with wavy stripes running from the top down toward the small curled stem on the right side. In front of it, a single wedge of watermelon sits at the bottom, showing a thick rind with an inner line and seven black seeds scattered across the flesh. The shapes are big and the outlines are clean, so there is plenty of room for crayons, markers, or paint. Try dark and light green for the stripes on the whole melon, then switch to pink or red for the slice and leave the seeds black. This free printable also works well for a quick lesson on the parts of a fruit: rind, flesh, seeds, and stem. Kids can count the seeds, too.
