A tilted watering can sprinkles teardrop-shaped drops onto a leafy young plant in this cheerful garden scene. The plant has four big leaves with center veins and grows from a small mound of soil marked with little dirt dashes. In the upper left, a smiling sun with short rounded rays looks down on it, and small grass tufts sit on both sides of the soil. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the sun face and all its rays with golden yellow, keeping the eyes dark and the smile as a clean line.
- 2Fill the two big leaves, the two small leaves and the stem with leaf green.
- 3Fill the soil mound at the bottom with soil brown, leaving a few small pale spots as pebbles.
- 4Color the watering can body and bottom band with bright blue, leave the handle white, and fill the spout head with pale blue.
- 5Color the inside of the can opening with light blue and the rim with deep blue, then fill each water drop with light blue.
- 6Optional: add a few short strokes of a slightly deeper leaf green along the leaf edges for a bit of depth.
