Big Oak Tree Coloring Page with Leaves and Acorns

Coloring guide
This page is all about a sturdy oak. Its wide crown has soft scalloped edges that look a bit like a cloud, and the thick trunk splits into branches near the top. Eight large oak leaves, each with a center vein, sit across the crown with plenty of open room around them. You'll find bark lines on the trunk and a small oval knot hole on one side. The tree stands on a gentle grassy hill with little tufts of grass, and three acorns with textured caps rest on the ground. Shapes are big and lines are bold, which makes it a good fit for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Green leaves, warm brown acorns and a trunk in two browns give it some depth. Free to print, and handy for autumn or nature lessons. Fans of Tree coloring pages often like City and Solar System & Space as well.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the big leafy canopy at the top with forest green, working around the leaves so they stay lime green.
- 2Color the tree trunk and branches with warm brown, keeping the small knot on the trunk white.
- 3Color each oak leaf in the canopy with lime green, leaving a small white shine near the tip of a few leaves.
- 4Fill the three acorns and their caps with light orange, and leave the grass and background white.
- 5Optional: add a few darker green strokes on the canopy, or darker brown lines along the trunk, to add depth.
