Curious Little Fox in the Woods With Mushrooms

Coloring guide
A young fox sits upright with its head tilted to one side. Big round eyes and a small smile make it look sweet and curious. The fluffy chest fur and the long bushy tail curled around its feet are fun to fill in with short, textured strokes. Tall tree trunks rise behind it, and one has a swirly knot in the bark. Ferns spread over the ground, leaves drift through the air, and spotted mushrooms sit in the lower corners. Orange for the coat, cream for the chest and tail tip, and deep greens for the ferns make a good starting palette. With large open shapes alongside detailed leaves, it works for younger kids and older colorers alike. You can print this free page with no sign-up. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the fox's face, chest, ears, back legs and the tip of the tail with cream, leaving the eye whites and the nose area untouched.
- 2Color the fox's back, the fur along its shoulders, its tail and front leg with orange.
- 3Color the tree trunks, the mushroom stems and the ground with warm brown, and fill the inner ears with pink.
- 4Color the big mushroom cap with cherry red and the leaves and bushes with leaf green, forest green, moss green and lime green.
- 5Add light gray to the top foliage and a little dark olive to the bottom leaves, keeping the background gaps white.
- 6Optional: add a darker orange layer on the shaded side of the fox's tail and back for depth.
