Curious Fox and Its Pond Reflection

Coloring guide
Sitting on a grassy bank at the edge of a calm pond, a young fox tilts its head down to look at its own upside-down reflection. The big eyes, fluffy chest fur and bushy striped tail all add fun detail to color. Around the pond are water lilies on lily pads, tall cattails and reeds, smooth rocks along the shore and a leafy tree branch overhead. A dragonfly hovers in the upper right, and the distance holds pine trees, hills and soft clouds. Kids who like nature scenes will enjoy the mix of big and small areas to fill in. Orange and rust tones work for the fox, with cream on the chest and tail tip, and cool blues and greens suit the water and lily pads. It's a free printable page. Add this to your Fox coloring page collection, alongside Wolves and Lion.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the sky and the shallow pond water with sky blue, leaving the fluffy cloud and distant mountain shapes white.
- 2Color the fox's head, body, back, legs and tail with bright orange, keeping the two eye whites white.
- 3Add cream to the fox's chest, the tip of its tail and the inner parts of its ears.
- 4Color the grass, reeds and bushes with lime green and leaf green, and the pine trees and tree leaves with forest green.
- 5Fill the cattails with rust brown, the rocks with light gray, the lily pads with leaf green and the two lily flowers with coral pink.
- 6Optional: Use ocean blue for the deeper water near the reflection, and bright orange and peach for the reflected fox so it looks shimmering.
