Fox Carrying a Basket of Apples

Coloring guide
Standing upright on its hind legs, a smiling young fox holds a woven basket full of apples in both front paws. Behind it is a leafy tree with a thick trunk, three more apples hanging from the branches and a few loose leaves. Small grass tufts sit at the fox's feet and around the base of the tree. The fox has big sparkling eyes, pointed ears, a fluffy chest and a large bushy tail with a zigzag tip, so there's lots of fur to color. The basket has a crisscross weave and a braided handle, which is good practice for small, careful strokes. Bright reds and greens suit the apples and leaves, and orange suits the fox, with white on the tail tip and chest. Free to print, for preschoolers through early elementary and any autumn or harvest activity. This page is part of our Fox coloring pages collection — check out Wolves and Lion too.

- 2Fill the inside of the fox's ears and its tongue with soft pink, and color the chest with peach.
- 3Color every apple on the tree and in the basket with apple red, and color the leaves and branches with leaf green.
- 4Fill the tree trunk with bark brown, leaving the background around the tree white.
- 5Color the woven basket with tan, working across the rows and leaving the small gaps near the rim white.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading on the basket and tree trunk with a second layer of the same colors to add depth.
