Fox Cub Peeking From a Tree Hollow

Coloring guide
A smiling fox cub pokes its head out of a hollow at the base of a big tree, both front paws resting on the edge. The eyes are large and shiny, the nose is small and round, and the mouth is open and happy. Fluffy cheek fur and tall pointed ears have lots of little tufts to color. Thick roots and bark lines curve around the opening. In front, tufts of grass, flat stones and small pebbles sit on the ground, with a spotted mushroom on either side. Bold outlines and roomy shapes make this a good free printable for young kids, and the bark and fur add detail for older ones. Orange and cream on the fox, soft browns on the trunk and bright red mushroom caps would look great. Kids who like Fox coloring pages usually enjoy Cats and Birds too.

- 1Color the fox's face, cheeks, and both front paws with bright orange, leaving the eye shines white.
- 2Fill the inner ears and the tongue with soft pink, then color the chest and ear tufts cream.
- 3Color the dark hollow behind the fox and its rim with dark brown, and the tree trunks with warm brown.
- 4Color the mushroom caps tomato red, leaving the white dots, and the stems cream.
- 5Fill the grass patches with leaf green and bright green, add olive green to a few tufts, and color the rocks and pebbles light gray.
- 6Optional: add a little extra shading with a darker shade of orange on the fox's cheeks and a few lines of dark brown on the tree bark for depth.
